When a young executive of one of the world's most powerful corporations is found brutally slain, a retired information cop named McNihil is called in. The corporation believes the dead man's missing prowler still "alive" and they will do anything to get it back. He will uncover a web of evil far more extensive than anyone could have imagined -- a vast conspiracy that threatens to blur forever the distincton between the dangerous world of noir and the safety of the daylight world.
