Description: Pioneering is a messy business, a lonely, bloody, stinky affair usually accomplished by societys outcasts and the underprivileged. And thats just on this planet! What will it be like to colonize another planet? It will require a plan with a multitude of presumably intelligent people sacrificing their comfortable lives to stand alone in an undeveloped wilderness, intent on scratching order into raw earth. It will require the gritting of teeth, even in the midst of losing companions, nerves, limbs and, most particularly, the mind. The Ground Pounders is the story of one family who moved to a new worldliterally, each member harboring their own agenda, only to discover a link not only with the alien land, but with each other.
