Rolf Geiger lives a charmed life. Handsome and charismatic, he has seen his awesome talents as a virtuoso pianist rewarded with worldwide fame, fabulous wealth, and passionate love from the beautiful woman he adores.

But Rolf is about to learn that genius has its price.

On a cold, gray Manhattan afternoon, at a funeral attended by a handful of grievers, the man who discovered Geiger when he was a young prodigy is laid to rest. Gifted, irascible, and bitter to the very end, Isador Rabinowitz was the brilliant maestro who shaped his prize student's raw talent into its polished mastery, and then, in a fit of jealous anger, turned against Rolf. Now, Rabinowtz was dead and Rolf was glad, finally, to be free of his mentor's vicious hatred. Or so he thought.

The nightmares begin slowly. Soon, Geiger's days and nights, his relationship and his career are poisoned by the vengeful spirit of Rabinowitz, returned from the grave to possess him.
