Description: In a format similar to Storey's successful Country Tea Parties, this book presents 12 months' worth of tea parties from cultures around the world. Each party contains unusual and imaginative tea recipes, menus, activities, and settings, all highlighted with elegant watercolor drawings by Caspari artist Carolyn Bucha.

In February, readers can give single friends a reason to celebrate with a "Not for Lovers Only Dessert Tea". In March, a traditional "St. Patrick's Day Ceili Tea" encourages guests to tell an Irish tale, sing a song, or play an instrument while dining on Irish tea. September's "Literary Tea" celebrates the wedding anniversary of Elizabeth Barrett and Robert Browning with the sharing of favorite literature. Honoring the real St. Nicholas, December's party invites friends to bring a girl for the needy, while the host provides the wrapping and dessert.

The book's introduction helps readers master tea etiquette with information on black, green, and oolong teas, including brewing directions, and an illustrated guide to setting the traditional tea table.
