Description: In the far future, travel through space is time-consuming. Nevertheless, man arrives on every livable planet which the robots have found. Flying towards a new social world, a colonist ship receives a signal from another ship that has discovered a landing of an unknown race on a planet where people are about to live. Paul Drem is sent to the planet in the cryogenic unit of a shuttle. After waking up, he finds himself alone in the shuttle and understands nothing of his task. A while after having been cared for by a family who lives on the planet, he notices that something terrible is going on. D.R. Dooren (Dordrecht, 1946) has been busy after his training with the electrical maintenance of plants. His interests lie in astronomy, geology, chess, and computers. He has written some adventures for the C64 and the Amiga. His readers wanted bigger stories from him, so they ultimately led him to write "Balt 5."
