Book has light bumping at the head and tail of the spine and at the very tips of the two upper outside corners. Illustrated endpapers. Cleaned up ex-library copy still has a stamp on the front and back sides of the free front endpaper, a theft prevention sticker on the free rear endpaper, a darker spot with a couple very small facial tears where another theft prevention sticker had been on the rear endpaper, and a stamp on the upper edge of the textblock. Signed by the author in black pen on a tipped-in illustrated limitation page bound into the front of the book by the publisher. "This signed numbered edition is limited to 500 copies. This is number 446." Binding is straight and tight. Aside from the few markings mentioned, pages are all clean, white, and crisp. 349 pages. Dust Jacket-has no remaining indications of having been in a library, but it does have a watermark about the size of a tennis ball on the inside of the jacket with a trace of pulling around it-not enough to mess up how it looks in the mylar-the upper and lower edges are still straight and the damage is almost entirely unnoticable from the exterior of the book, so it still presents very well. Matheson was probably one of the greatest horror/science fiction writers of the 20th Century, having many of his short stories featured on The Twilight Zone and producing such masterworks of the genre as I Am Legend, The Incredible Shrinking Man, Hell House, What Dreams May Come, and many others.
