Description: High school freshman Kate is chewed out by her swimming coach and her childhood friend, Michael, is teased cruelly as a "wannabe white", but little do they know that much more trouble is brewing. They are contacted by a mysterious organization claiming to be able to transport them back in time to 1778. They are charged with the desperate mission to save Michael's ancestor, an African American cavalryman and to warn Lafayette of a trap. In nonstop action and suspense, the teens face dangers and learn to overcome their own fears. Their self-acceptance "issues blend into the historical backdrop, and the conflicts, past and present, are brought to a fine conclusion".
