Description:
Night Owl Reviews:Tink is small but feisty. She has lots of friends who are men due to her profession but no "boyfriend" per se. Raised in an unconventional way Tink is able to take care of herself and shows her abilities when she finds herself in an unbelievable situation that changes her life forever. She steps through a threshold created by her friend Cosmo onto an alien spacecraft and proceeds to save the young warrior about to fall under a giant lizard's sword. J'kar, captain of the ship she's on and brother of the warrior she saved, is instantly smitten and has the chemical marker appear on his hand as well as Tink's showing him she is his intended mate. Look out Tink!First in the series this was a delightful read. While the "intended mate" route is taken it's not a get-a-wife-for-free card. Tink is not easy and J'kar has to work for it, more than most I imagine. While Tink is unattached she has attracted a stalker who adds an element of danger and urgency to the story. As the first part of the book is about interacting with a different species and getting to know one another, the second half is decidedly naughty. With a little biting and a lot of messing around this story was both lighthearted as well as serious at times and had me laughing out loud. Looking forward to the second in the series.
