Description: Father Mark Townsend travels to the Yakima Valley to investigate reports of miracles brought about by an end-of-the-world evangelical preacher, Brother Gabriel. Since the preacher's arrival nine months ago, dozens of Latino farmworkers in the valley have abandoned the Catholic church to follow his teachings -- and some of them have disappeared from a sealed building. Brother Gabriel claims they've been "raptured" -- swept up to heaven -- but Father Mark has his doubts. When Brother Gabriel is murdered and then raptured himself, his converts grow hysterical, and one of Father Mark's own parishoners, who's also disappeared, is suspected of the murder. Father Mark hopes that she holds the answers to the mysterious happenings in the Yakima Valley, but he'll only figure it out if he can find her before it's too late.
