Description:
In June of 1940, H. A. and Margret Rey fled the Nazi invasion of Paris on bicycles, taking with them their illustrations and text for the book that became Curious George, first published in the United States in 1941. Because of the printing methods used at the time, H. A. Rey was unable to use his original drawings for the book.
Expand description
These drawings have been preserved for nearly sixty years, in private collections and by Margret Rey herself. Houghton Mifflin has assembled them and, with the benefit of today's printing processes, has produced Curious George as the book was first envisioned.
