NOTE: The book is lightly age-toned and had a piece of tape around the top from back cover to front, about 1.5" long, that, looking at the cover, just managed to cover up the Ace issue designation and price. It appears to have been placed there to cover up an odd ink blot, but--why? Perhaps only Lafferty could have explained this, truly odd...at any rate, with some difficulty I removed it, and in doing so, left a bit of a stained area over the price at upper lefthand corner of the cover, and at the top of the spine, where the ACE logo resides, the tape was, for whatever reason, most pernicious, and it took so micro-spots of the color off of the laminate. You can still tell it's the Ace logo, but it's a little damaged.
