Description:
There is terror in Godhanger Wood. With each passing day, another animal falls prey to the bloodthirsty gamekeeper's gun, traps, or poison. Another corpse is nailed to his gibbet. As the death toll rises, it seems that nothing can save them. But there is one who brings new hope: Skymaster, the mysterious and mighty bird who suddenly appeared one winter's day. His followers speak of his strange powers, and seek him, perched alone on his cedar of Lebanon tree, to hear his wise words. Gentle, he mourns the suffering of every creature. Formidable, he begins to save them. And those who first doubted him start to believe.
But as the bloodshed continues, Skymaster is determined to stop the gamekeeper for good. In an act of breathtaking defiance, he grabs the gamekeeper's rifle, drops it into the river, and becomes his prime target.
As the powerful bird and vicious man face off in a dramatic confrontation, Skymaster willingly sacrifices himself to save the life of another. But the gamekeeper's seeming victory is short-lived. A sudden storm brings the Skymaster's branch crashing down to crush him. And in the distance, the figure of Skymaster is spotted rising up into the morning sky as the birds celebrate the coming of Spring.
