Description:
Through his experience as a psychologist on the faculty at Harvard Medical School, Dr. Richard Wolman became convinced of the need for an empirical and reliable means -- free of religious or ideological overtones -- for evaluating sacred experience. That need was the basis for the creation of the Psychomatrix Spirituality Inventory (PSI).
Expand description
Dr. Wolman found seven factors that comprise the spectrum of spiritual experience: Divinity, Mindfulness, Extra Sensory Perception, Community, Intellectuality, Trauma, and Childhood Spirituality. By completing the PSI included in the book, readers will learn about their spirituality in each of these areas and how to improve their spiritual lives.
Thinking with Your Soul goes on to examine the role of spirituality in the new century, to examine the relationship between spirituality and Howard Gardner's multiple intelligences theory, and to provide information about using the PSI to guide yourself to a fuller and more meaningful life.
