To Nate, all of his favorite colors have a reason to be his "best, best color." His red shoes remind him of race-cars and valentines. His blue paint reminds him of oceans and blue jays. The yellow painted rocks remind him of sunshine and hidden gold. And when he's playing with his best friends, they tell Nate that he has to choose because you can't have more than one best friend.

That night, Nate has a dream where all the colors are fighting to be his favorite.
