Early each night the fireflies come out to dance. They twinkle and glow and flash secret messages to each ocher. Together they make a thousand chandeliers. All except Torchy. When he turns on his light it suddenly becomes as bright as day. Thinking that ifs morning, baby birds cry out to be fed and earthworms scramble for cover. Torchy's bright light ruins the fireflies' fun and all the forest animals are angry with him for disturbing their sleep.
