Featured are works by members of the American Abstract Artists group and the Museum of Non-Objective Painting in New York, the Transcendental Painting Group in New Mexico, and the New Bauhaus school centered around Laszlo Moholy-Nagy in Chicago. "Regional Modernists" from Pennsylvania, California, the Pacific Northwest, and the deep South also provide fine examples of abstract art.
