Description:
In the pre-dawn hours of February 3, 1959, just five years after rock and roll first exploded on the scene, three of its brightest lights were extinguished. The electrifying, seventeen-year-old performer Ritchie Valens, the outrageous, leopard-print jacketed Big Bopper, and headliner Buddy Holly, the brilliant rock and roll innovator, all died in a small plane crash. Though they were silenced forever, their music is immortal.
