A biographical narrative of Navajo warrior Gus Bighorse born around 1846, told by his daughter Tiana in her father's voice, recounting his experiences during the Long Walk of 1864, fighting with Manuelito's band against Kit Carson's troops, and later surviving government stock reduction programs while preserving the oral history and warrior values of the Navajo people.
