Description: The 1995 Ohio University basketball season began October 15, ended more than five months later and consisted of 34 games. It also included practices, interviews, waiting in airports, praise, criticism, national rankings, injuries, line-up changes, a case of mistaken identity by the New York Police Department, the most prestigious championship in school basketball history, NBA scouts, recruiting, scouting reports, missed free throws, double-doubles, four-point plays, more injuries, long bus rides, card games, apple turnovers, ESPN Sportscenter, the best player in MAC history, national press (mostly for basketball, some for elevator failure), longer bus rides, the second highest victory total in school history, and a disappointing number of losses. This is the story of the 1995 basketball team, one of the best in OU history. It includes the events which brought the players and coaches to the school, as well as a look back at some of the other great OU teams - the 1941 NIT team, the 1964 Elite Eight team, and the 1970 nationally ranked team.
