Description: Terrance Albrecht is a Professor in the College of Public Health at the University of South Florida, where she is also Courtesy Professor of Management in the College of Business Administration and serves as Director of Medical Interaction Research at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute. Dr. Albrecht received her Ph.D. and M.A. in Communication and a Master's degree in Labor and Industrial Relations from Michigan State University. The author of over seventy publications, she has held previous faculty and visiting faculty appointments at the University of Washington, Michigan State, Texas AandM, and Seattle University. Dr. Albrecht is a Certified Family Mediator with the Dispute Resolution Center of the Florida State Supreme Court. Betsy Wackernagel Bach is Professor and Chair of the Department of Communication Studies at the University of Montana. She received her Ph.D. in Communication from the University of Washington. She has published articles in Communication Monographs, the Western Journal of Communication, and Communication Quarterly, among others. Prior to her academic employment, she worked as a police officer in Michigan, where she served as Community Service Officer and Domestic Dispute Liaison. Dr. Bach has provided organizational training and consultation for health care, corporate, and nonprofit organizations in Montana and the Pacific Northwest. She was selected as the University of Montana's Distinguished Teacher in 1991, and in 1996 she received the University's award for Administrative Excellence. She currently serves as President of the Western States Communication Association.
