Description: Our favorite bumbling heroes of the Moosepath League are back in the third delightful tale in the series! In this episode, we meet Daniel Plainway, a good-hearted lawyer, who who learns that an old portrait of his dear friend has been discovered and saved from bandits. The young woman in the painting passed away several years before, and, as it turns out, is the mother of Bird, the adorable orphan boy we met in Mollie Peer. Upon realizing that the lost son of his dear friend may still be alive, Daniel Plainway sets off to find our very own Mister Walton, who as the newspaper article says, is in possession of the mysterious portrait. Along the way, our hero meets the usual panoply of charming characters as the always generous Mister Walton helps him reunite Bird with his long lost past.

Filled with beautiful details of Christmastime in turn-of-the-century Maine, Daniel Plainway is another wonderfully fun tale from a born storyteller!
