Description: The Elliott Wave Principle is the classic book on the subject, with a huge cult following. Now it is available for the first time in paperback. The Wave Principle was developed by Ralph Nelson Elliott in the 1930s and 1940s. The basic concept of the Principle is that stock market prices rise and fall in recognisable patterns which can be linked together into waves. Thus the Wave Principle is an analytical tool describing how the stock market behaves, and it can therefore be used as a forecasting method. Through time, Elliott's work went out of print, and material on the Principle became hard to find. It was not until 1978 with the first edition of The Elliott Wave Principle by Robert Prechter that the theory once again became part of the consciousness of market traders and technical analysts. Since then Elliott Wave has gained cult status, particularly in North America where the book was published, and in its first 9 editions has sold well over 100,000 copies. The Principle has been refined and enhanced with each new edition and the authors have continued that work into this 10th edition. All the predictive expectations for the future have remained exactly as in the first edition to allow new readers to investigate both the successes and errors in the forecasting presented by the authors. Using the analytical tools of Elliott Wave, the authors predict the imminent onslaught of a great bear market to follow the current bull market which has been experienced over the past decade. As the author states in his Foreword to this 10th edition: "It remains to be seen whether this great bull market will be followed by the biggest bear market in US history and thus fulfil the second half of thebook's forecast. The authors, to be sure, stick by this scenario".
