Description: Furballs is a near-future tale of a band of young idealists who, deeply concerned about society's unnecessary exploitation of animals, establish the Furball Hotel to provide sanctuary for troubled and abandoned "furries." The group name themselves the "Furballers." Their passion leads to the development of the Furrie Liberation Front. Under the leadership of Gord, their charismatic leader, the "Furballers" develop a network of transportation and shelter for animals in desperate straits. When the Furballers adopt activist tactics to enhance their message, they run up against the determined opposition of the Institute for Dietary Freedom - a highly organized conglomerate which controls fast food franchises throughout the industrial world with devastating environmental consequences.
