In "Bit O' Honey", a middle-aged man visits his estranged father on Halloween, disguised as a trick-or-treater. A young pregnant woman, wondering "What to Name the Baby", negotiates life with her father and his lover while traveling in a cramped Winnebago. And "Hunters and Gatherers" portrays a misguided party game, as a naive Mormon couple hosts a dinner party for the few homosexuals they know.
The stories have been culled from such prestigious journals as Mid-American Review, The North American Review, The Paris Review, Ploughshares, Story, and The Threepenny Review.
