A collection of 138 pieces of Khmer pottery collected over a 25 year period by Mr. Hiroshi Fujiwara. It was only in the early 1970s that researchers started investigating the provenance of glazed stonewares unearthed at Prasat Ban Phluang in north-eastern Thailand and other sites. Although there are still many gaps in our knowledge, Khmer pottery is now an identifiable ceramic form which attracts a good deal of attention for its distinctive shapes, glazes, and technology.
