Description:
In this bestselling classic, Larry McMurtry brilliantly evokes the wild, lonely, heartbreaking condition called adolescence. Sonny Crawford and his friend Duane, high school seniors in the small Texas dustbowl town of Thalia, restlessly mark time at the pool hall and the picture show. Obsessed with sex, they are vulnerable to anyone who can ease them out of their innocence. Sonny finds the lonely wife of the high school football coach. For Duane there is Jacy, the prettiest and richest girl in town, who eagerly offers him her virginity.
