Description:
Determined to build a house on her own property, Marjorie Bascom sets out to get married, because in 1867 Colorado, only the male head of a household can legally sign the deed. She cons Leon McDermott, a vagabond cowboy, into marriage, and off they go to Denver to sign the homestead papers. Leon is eager to get away from Marjorie -- whom he suspects is not playing with a full deck -- until he sees the breathtaking tract of land they now own. Captivated by the beauty and hope for the future, Leon also looks at Marjorie in a new light, and to his astonishment, falls in love with her. Now all he has to do is convince Marjorie that he's worth keeping around.
