Description:
In 1942 Japan threatened to take control of the Coral Sea and sever Australia's vital seaborne lifeline to America. The bulk of the Australian army was still in North Africa fighting Rommel, and American forces were just starting to trickle in from the states. Still, the danger posed by the Japanese on the northeastern coast of New Guinea was too great. MacArthur would have to strike back with the meager forces available . . . and soon!
