Description: A strange, psychic crone finds Alexis Fury at a lonely time: a widow with one grown daughter in another state, she also has lost her only son. Every man she's loved has died. The crone tells her that her cup had to be emptied before it can be filled again. She convinces Alexis that she must leave her daughter and grandchildren, and embark upon a quest as an immortal. Her soul's progress is far more important than this mortal life.
