So begins My Sister from the Black Lagoon, a novel based on the author's wild and woolly years with her charismatic mentally ill sister. Like everyone who forfeits their dreams to care for another, Lorna Person has no choice but to sacrifice her own life for her sister's well-being. However, despite her sister's all-day rages, Lorna's story is remarkably upbeat and surprisingly humorous.
