The British Walking Guides features varied itineraries for walking the trail to accommodate all kinds of walkers. The maps are in a large scale: 1:19,500, currently larger than any other map or guidebook. Towns and villages close to the trail are indicated, with a short summary of each section of the trail including highlights, timing and level of difficulty.
