Setting the artist's work in context are an interview with Skoglund by art historian Robert Rosenblum and three essays: on her photographs by critic Carol Squiers; on her prints by Ann H. Sievers, associate curator of prints, drawings, and photographs at Smith College Museum of Art, Northampton, Massachusetts; and on her installations by Linda Muehlig, associate curator of painting and sculpture, also at Smith.
The exhibition will open at the museum at Smith College -- which is Skoglund's alma mater -- in March 1998 and travel to Cincinnati and Toledo, Ohio; Columbia, South Carolina; and Jacksonville, Florida, over the next two years. Included in this book are several works of art created especially for the exhibition.
