Description:
PSYCHOanalysis is the product of a journal kept by Steve Lyons throughout his baseball career. It is a view from an athlete who didn't always make the highlight films, but who represents the majority of the players on a professional sports team. Lyons gives a fresh insider's perspective on player endorsements, entertaining the crowd, batting slumps, player recognition, clubhouse camaraderie, the strike of 94-95, and much more! Lyons will also be remembered for something he would rather forget. A night in Detroit when he slid into first base and then took his pants off to get the dirt out -- in front of a national TV audience!
Expand description
After retiring from professional baseball in 1993, Lyons went from selling hot dogs in the snack bar of an Arizona golf course to calling the action on opening day 1995 between the Chicago Cubs and the Cincinnati Reds for ESPN. He is currently a features correspondent for ESPN2 and Fox TV.
