Description: Sundown in Booker City is the final story in the trilogy concerning the town and people of Booker City. As the title suggests the individuals that have survived are now confronting circumstances that accompany the natural aging process exacerbated by an unexpected physical failure of one of their group. Through the resulting impairment of the stricken member of the group, the survivors confront their relationships and personal philosophies. The calamity of a fire and its aftermath further complicates their lives and brings to the surface their feelings some of which they have suppressed through the years. Although the characters involved have continued throughout the trilogy, this story as the others stands alone as it concerns the subject matter and issues presented.
