Clay owns a small chain of record stores and is proud to have just opened one in his old neighborhood. But a black man can't get a break, even on his home turf, when the whole town is going crazy. His new store is at the epicenter of the drug trade and Karras, his best friend and store manager, is rapidly developing a nasty drug habit. But things can get worse and do, when the two men witness the theft of a bag. It belongs to the local drug lord and it looks like he's willing to destroy the entire neighborhood to get it back.
