In a town like Lost Frenchman, it's tough for an introverted, epileptic teenager like Ken Corbin to make friends. So when he tries to convince people that Ricky, the homeless man who has recently taken up residence in a vacant lot, isn't the same man he was yesterday -- even though the man's clothes and memories are the same -- he isn't taken seriously. No one believes him, least of all Leo, Ken's half-brother. Ken himself even begins to wonder if he has had a memory lapse caused by his epilepsy. But when he discovers proof that Ricky has indeed been "switched", he finds himself caught up in a spiraling cloud of lies, betrayal, and revenge that leads right into his own backyard.
