Description:
It's 1932 and everyone is struggling through the Great Depression. When the resourceful young narrator of this story discovers that his father is jobless, he decides to become a newsie to help out. He and his good friend Jacob figure out how to sell more papers than the other kids -- they call out newspaper reports of Babe Ruth's record outside of Yankee Stadium. Before they know it, business is booming, and one day when a very special customer, The Babe, buys a paper, the boys get a chance to see a game.
