Description:
Think you've heard all the folktales about Chelm, the little town in Poland known for its folly and hilarious happenstance? Well, here's one for the modern age -- from Central Europe to Central Park, to be exact. When the mischievous demons of Chelm hear stories of this place called New York City, they can't wait to cross the ocean and stir up a little metropolitan mayhem. But the Big Apple proves to be a big problem even for demons, who attend their first Halloween party, only to be terrified themselves! Francine Prose and Mark Podwal, masters at bringing Jewish legends to life, send their audience on another totally original wild ride with a distinctly Old World flavor.
