Description:
Blue McCarron is a gay social psychologist who lives in the shell of Wren's Gulch Inn, an abandoned motel in the high desert outside San Diego. She has teamed up both personally and professionally with Roxie Bouchie, an African-American (and country line-dancing) prison staff psychiatrist.
Expand description
Statistically, it seems impossible that two healthy female politicians could have both died from a cerebral hemorrhage within days of each other. When the police hire Blue and Roxie as consultants, they admit that they have received cryptic notes signed by "The Sword of Heaven".
Blue and Roxie must get involved with evangelical preachers, ex-cons, abandoned desert shacks, and paint ball playing plastic surgeons in order to find this unorthodox killer. Blue and Roxie must also face their own personal struggles as two fiercely independent women in a culture that works against them.
