Description:
Waldo Japussy made his mark on the world of feline literature with the publication in 1990 of The Tao of Meow, which has since sold over 50,000 copies and is still expanding its audience. His treatise on self-gratification made him something of a cult figure throughout the world.
Expand description
Waldo shed his mortal coils two years ago, but has continued to pursue his literary career posthumorously. His latest effort is a series of quatrains about a ruby cat which may be reminiscent of a slightly more famous work by Omar Khayyam, via Edward Fitzgerald. Nevertheless, there is conclusive proof that Waldo never even owned a copy of the Rubaiyat, let alone read it; and it should be fairly clear that Omar did not read Waldo.
In The Ruby Cat, Waldo continues to expound upon the divine mission of all cats -- namely, to find a perfect human lap and spend as much time in it as possible.
