When he was five, Cale Tucker lost everything. He watched the alien Drej destroy Earth. He watched his father, Sam Tucker, leave him, saw him borne skyward in the great starship Titan moments before the end.

And he never saw his father again.

Raised by his alien guardian Tek, Cale grew up as a refugee, an exile in space. Each time he and Tek found a place to settle, the Drej would come, bringing with them more death and destruction.

So many places, so many losses. Cale Tucker is angry. It seems to him, sometimes, that the Drej are after him personally.

He's right. Cale Tucker holds the secret to the salvation of mankind. The Drej know this.

But Cale doesn't -- and that could cost him his life...
