Description:
Lou is one of a group of autistic adults hired by a company to do what they do so well: spot patterns in code. Up until now, the company has provided them with all sorts of special perqs to help them function: a gym, personal music systems, etc. But a new boss thinks that's a waste of money, and he's heard of a brand-new experimental treatment to "cure" autism. And now the company wants Lou and his friends to take the treatment.
Expand description
Outside of work, Lou studies fencing with "normal" people, has a growing crush on a "normal" woman, and finds himself being stalked by someone who seems increasingly prone to violence. Should Lou take the cure? Will it change who he is? Or will he be someone new? What does it mean to be "normal, " and does anyone have the right to play god with people? The story follows Lou's inner and outer lives as he moves closer and closer to making a decision -- a decision that will certainly change his life forever.
