Richard A. Knaak has been a regular contributor to the world of Krynn for over fifteen years, penning such best-selling novels as The Legend of Huma and Kaz the Minotaur, in addition to over a dozen short stories in DragonlanceR anthologies. The New York Times best-selling author of thirty novels, he was born and raised in the Chicago area, but now divides his time between there and northern Arkansas. His works have been published in numerous foreign languages, including Russian, Turkish, Bulgarian, Chinese, Czech, German, and Spanish. In addition to his work for Dragonlance, he is the author of the popular Dragonrealm series (spanning ten volumes), a number of independent novels, and he has written for both the Warcraft and Diablo series, based on the worldwide best-selling games by Blizzard. The third book in his War of the Ancients Trilogy (also Warcraft)- The Sundering- will see release in the fall of 2004. Currently, Knaak is at work on a third Diablo novel and the Aquilonia Trilogy, based on the worlds of Robert E. Howard, which will be published by Ace-Berkeley.
