Book has just the faintest trace of rubbing at the head and tail of the spine and very slight rubbing at the very tips of the outside corners. Series of faint creases run from the head of the spine to the tail. Binding is tight. Pages are all clean, white, and crisp. 273 pages. Reprint of a 1926 British fantasy novel by Mirrlees-looks like a facsimile reprint of the 1970 Ballantine issue, executed at an unknown later date. Neil Gaiman wrote that Lud-in-the-Mist was "elegant, supple, effective and haunting" and that "the author demands a great deal from her readers, which she repays many times over." Apparently one of Gaiman's top ten favorite novels of all time.
