Description: OMAR is a multimedia computer-based tutorial (CBT) product that teaches the mechanics of debits and credits along with the entire accounting cycle. It may be used to supplement introductory/principles or intermediate courses or as a separate "bridge" course or independent study/review for accounting majors or others needing additional preparation in accounting procedures (including MBA students). Using a conversational tone and frequent interactive exercises, OMAR will be available as an e-commerce product over the World Wide Web or as a stand-alone CD-ROM. It is particularly ideal for those using "user-oriented" texts or those wishing to free up time/remove bookkeeping from the classroom in order to focus class time on accounting concepts or higher-level skills. OMAR will use a WebCT platform. Netscape or Microsoft Internet Explorer browsers are required for both web and CD versions.
