What is a Volume Seller?
Volume selling on TextbookX.com is intended for mid-to-large size sellers or bookstores whose inventory is too large to submit through your regular TextbookX account. Sellers who qualify will utilize FTP to transfer files to and from a TextbookX.com server.
Becoming a volume seller in the TextbookX.com marketplace requires three points of contact:
- Inventory you are offering (inventory).
- Orders placed for your inventory (orders).
- Shipment confirmation (confirmation).
Additionally, you must have the ability to ship all orders within 48 hours of confirmation.
How do I become a Volume Seller?
To become a volume seller on TextbookX, you must first set up an account and agree to the terms and conditions. Once your account is set-up, please email us to request your FTP credentials and other instructions.
What third-party inventory managers do you work with?
TextbookX partners with Fillz, Art of Books and Indaba to manage your inventory. If you work with a third-party inventory manager, after you have your TextbookX FTP credentials, adjust your settings to include TextbookX.
What are your commissions or fees?
TextbookX charges a 15% commission on the item price. There are no item fees for volume sellers and there are no monthly fees.

What are your return and refund policies?
The Seller may grant a refund through the Seller’s account pages or 3rd party management system. Further coordination regarding the return of merchandise may be achieved through direct communication between the Buyer and the Seller through our Marketplace communication tools. Refund requests which stem from complaints must be resolved before payment is released to the Seller. Should a Seller fail to respond to a complaint within three (3) days of notification, Akademos has the right to grant the refund to the buyer and permanently close the pending payment to the seller.
What is your cancellation policy?
Sellers must confirm or cancel orders within 48 hours, excluding weekends and holidays. If an item isn’t confirmed or canceled within the required timeframe, the order will be automatically canceled.
